Sean and I met on June 7th of 2011. I had just completed my Freshman Year at Fairfield University and Sean had just completed his at Syracuse University. We both headed to the Fordham section of the Bronx for a Tuesday night out at the Jolly Tinker. We crossed paths in between beer pong games and hit it off at the juke box. The following day, Sean invited me to a Yankee Game. We sat in foul ball territory and started our journey of getting to know each other. I was instantly charmed when I learned he had taken notes on his phone from what we talked about the night before. He wrote down that I played basketball in college (close, it was 8th grade) and that I went to Ursuline where his mom and aunts also went. We loved doing the same things, shared the same values, and enjoyed the same adventures. Everything felt like it was meant to be.
From graduating college, to completing PA School and Finance Exams, to starting our first jobs, to becoming puppy parents, and to working through a Pandemic, we have been by each other sides through it all. On March 13, 2021, Sean proposed to me in Battery Park with the Statue of Liberty as the perfect backdrop. Yes, I was surprised. No, I hadn’t been waiting for it….
For those of you who really know us, we love a good party. We could not be more excited or grateful to have fun, celebrate our love, and most importantly be together with you all.
